Large Family Photo

Getting a family together at the same time for photos is no small feat, especially when you have six children! Dodging multiple activity schedules and probably a few runny noses can be quite a bit to organize. But we finally found a date and a location that worked for everyone.

I love the dynamics of large families. Everyone just steps in to fill a need when someone else needs something. It’s not all mom and dad helping the little ones all the time. All of the kids really seemed to be tuned into each other. This was a great help (read as “making my job easier”) when I was photographing them individually. Sure I have my notebook of lame jokes and bad dance moves, but to have someone over my should trying to get THAT smile out of the person in front of the camera was priceless. I’m sure I was privy to a few inside family jokes, too. But it worked like a charm. Nobody knows you like your family. And that was abundantly clear here.

In addition to their awesome relationships, they were so photogenic! My camera just loved them. And how do you coordinate the wardrobes for 8 people…see below.

Special note: The last image pictured is actually a photo of all of their children. There are actually 7. One is now in heaven, but still clearly in their hearts.

Location: South Corona

Loving the ones you are with and remembering the one that passed.
