Friends and Photos
Sometimes I like to scout and shoot a location before I take a client just to get my gears turning or my light dialed in or to check out different angles. I also needed to take updated photos of my kids or I was going to have a grandma mutiny on my hands. Believe me, as much as my kids are used to me taking their pics, they do not enjoy it. They give me a hard time. And forget about them looking at me at the same time. I usually end up losing my mind and threatening the end of all electronic fun forever.
In an attempt to avoid the usual calamity that becomes our photo sessions, I invited a few friends to join us. We joined up in South Corona and tried not get all dirty and disheveled before I took everyone’s photo. However, there were a few tree branches that were carried around the corner and lots of dirt was that dug. It felt a lot like herding cats because they all saw it as a play date. But I got the job done. All I needed was a group photo of my kids and an individual of each…and that’s about all I got. Thankfully, this stunt got me off the grandma naughty list for the year. And I think my friends were happy too.
So the next time you want to take your child’s photo, remember friends and photos are way more fun.
