Your wedding day. The only day in your life where you dress like prince and princess and begin your happily ever after together. It is for this reason that I offer a custom heirloom album to each of my couples. Well, I don’t just offer it, I include a specific kind of album in each of my three wedding collections.

I also offer options for prints and digital files, but I’d like to share a few reasons why I feel every couple needs, yes NEEDS, an album. 

Technology>>> We live in a world of ever changing technology. What’s good today is obsolete tomorrow. A few years ago, I would give images on a DVD to my clients to archive and to print 5x7s for aunt Millie and Grandma Rose. Today, DVD drives are coming out of computers! The latest version of my MacBook Pro does not even have a drive for it, and my computer is only 2 years old. Currently, I offer thumb drives or digital downloads, but I’m sure those will go by the wayside sooner rather than later also.

OOPS!>>> God forbid you actually misplace or lose that DVD, thumb drive or your hard drive gets fried! Did you back up your files to an online storage place or on an external hard drive? Did you make prints for yourself before it’s destruction or loss? Is the photographer who took those lovely images even in business anymore to get you another copy? (FYI – Most photographers do not make it past the 2 year mark.)

Huddle around the…computer?>>> So you want to share your beautiful images with friends and family and you have to dig around on your hard drive or facebook? Wedding albums are designed to tell the story of your day. From the smallest detail on his boutineer to the grand landscape of the moment you said “I do,” everyone will love to flip through again and again. This is your first family heirloom The one that your children are going to thumb through and be amazed at year after year. Revelling and remembering that amazing day in storybook form.

Don’t be me.>>>>Yes, I said it. Don’t be me. I was one of those brides that had the negatives and had great intentions of creating an album for us. I did spend hours upon hours in the darkroom developing them by hand. And where do they sit? In a box that the photo paper came in. A boring old box. I figured that since I was in the industry, that I would surely have the time to produce a proper album for us. Guess how long we’ve been married? 11 years…no album. I was determined to do it for our 5 year…10 year….12 year….Life happens. Kids happen. Moves happen and it just keeps getting moved to the back burner. And of course technology has changed in the way we design and produce albums so I would need a film scanner to even get started!

I have about 4 other reasons WHY this is a must, but I thought I would leave you a few samples of our beautifully and professionally crafted albums instead. I want YOU to have your perfect wedding album immediately after your wedding so that you can cherish it forever.
