two wedding photographers

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME. So get to the edge of your seat.

Most of you know that I shoot weddings and I used to shoot a lot of weddings B.K. (before kids)! Now that my kids are getting older (so sad), I have picked up weddings again (because I LOVE them). I know, you want to know what’s the big deal?

In my previous life as a wedding photographer, I was a solo act who occasionally employed the help of second shooters. Then I met Kendra Watson. She is another local photographer with some mad skills, has a great personality, and is ready to learn anything and everything she can. She wanted to try her hand at weddings but was a little apprehensive going it alone. So I suggested a collaboration. She was game.

Having trained her in my wedding methods from start to finish, it was clear that she would be more than a regular second shooter, but rather a permanent fixture. Her skills, shooting style and personality are such a great working compliment to mine. Melding the two together could not have been easier or more pleasant. In April of 2013, we began our collaboration.

After seeing what an indispensable gem she is to my business, I changed my wedding packages to always include her. Having a second photographer is not just about having more photos of the same stuff, but rather a necessity to show a different perspective with a different creative eye on the day. It is no longer an add-on option, but rather a MUST HAVE in my business model.

I could go on and on about how awesome she is and how excited I am to have her with me at Marsha McNeely Photography, but I think it would be better to show you the magic we create together.
