Ballet is more than just dancing. It is more than just tutus on a stage. It is more than just a way for us to be entertained. Ballet takes years of dedication, focus, sweat, micro corrections, and pain. These highly trained athletic artists give us beautiful displays set to music while pushing their bodies to the edge of what seems humanly possible.

This focus and extreme attention to detail is all put together to give us  breath taking movements on stage that tell a story. So the next time you meet a young person who says they are studying ballet, know that this is more than just a dance class. It is part of who they are.
