This adorable little fella is celebrating his first birthday and I had the pleasure of recording this milestone. This photo session was actually intended for his handsome older brother who was the winner in my 2011 Cute Kid Contest that I held earlier this year, but mama wanted to use the prize for her youngest.
Canaan is just so darn cute! His hair is awesome! His cheeks are squeezable and his eyes draw you into his world. I could have stared at him all day.
And since I seem to find people with extremely interesting stories, this one certainly lives up to that. Canaan is one of 7 adopted children! Yes, 7! My friend who is mama to all of these amazing children describes herself on her blog as, “I am a God-loving, husband-adoring, homemaking, homeschooling, babywearing, cloth-diapering, knitting, baking, literature reading, adoptive Mommy of seven who LOVES what she does and thanks God every day for His blessings in her life!” She is no joke. I know her and she is exactly how she describes herself. She also writes a great blog about managing it all.
